How to Keep Your Goals in the Spotlight 365 Days a Year ๐ŸŒŸ

Resolutions are so last month! ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Let me show you the secret to make sure your goals stay in the spotlight 365 days a year.

January is a great time to set goals - thereโ€™s something about the reflections that come at the end of a year, and the start of a new year that can be really motivating for thinking about how you want the year ahead to go. But setting goals isnโ€™t just a January thing.

Setting goals isn't a one-and-done activity; it's an ongoing process that evolves with you throughout the year. So, whether it's January or June (or the end of February!!), it's never too late to set new goals, to change the ones you have set, and start working towards them. We want to make every day count!

Here are some top tips to keep your goals in focus and make progress on them year-round:

  1. Set SMART Goals: You've probably heard this one before, but it's worth repeating. Make sure your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound, and write them down somewhere you will see them every day.

  2. Break it Down: Big goals can feel overwhelming, so break them down into smaller, actionable tasks. This makes them less intimidating and gives you a clear roadmap to follow. Think of these as your mini-milestones along the way to your ultimate goal. It's easier to stay motivated when you can see progress in bite-sized chunks - particularly when you celebrate each mini-milestone! Plan how you will treat yourself when you hit each mini-milestone, to help you stay motivated.

  3. Get Visual: Create a vision board or use a planner to visualise your goals. Seeing your goals every day is a powerful reminder of what you're working towards, and why they matter to you. Create something that will inspire you to keep taking action on your goals.

  4. Stay Accountable: Share your goals with a friend or join a supportive community. Having someone to cheer you on and hold you accountable can make all the difference when the going gets tough. Sometimes just knowing that someone will check-in with me about the progress Iโ€™ve made it enough of an incentive to put in the work!

  5. Embrace 90-Day Plans: I find planning in 90 day blocks is the perfect blend of long-term vision and short-term action. 90 days is long enough to build momentum, but short enough to keep some level of urgency. Speaking of which, have you checked out my 90-day planner yet? It's a great tool to help you stay focused to achieve your goals, one milestone at a time. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Remember, goal-setting is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the process, celebrate your wins (big and small), and keep pushing forward. With the right mindset and a little bit of planning, there's nothing you can't achieve! ๐Ÿš€
